As an avid reader and hopeful romantic, you could say I keep my nose in a book and my heart on my sleeve. Although I’m forever enamored by novels, my favorite stories take place right here and now - with us as the authors.

I don’t want to just read about adventures - I want to live them, my heart so full I feel it’ll burst. And I don’t want to just read about romance and lust and want - I need to feel it like a shiver across my skin. The slow-burning passion. The raw intimacy. The wonder. The heat. 

It should come as no surprise that I crave the rush of starting a chapter with someone new. Butterflies blurring into sweet anticipation, tart and wanting on my tongue. Lingering at first as we warm to one another, then melting slowly away with each shared laugh and soft touch until being together feels as easy and natural as breathing. 

It’s the start of our story - the first pages of a chapter we can write however we want. Maybe it’ll be as short and sweet as a novella - something to look back on with a shiver of heat and remembered pleasure. Or perhaps we’ll just keep writing, the thought of stopping never crossing our minds. Some stories are just too good to put down. 

But all good things have to start somewhere — shall we?
